Why have you suddenly gone from a serene and joyful faith to the torments of doubt?
For different reasons, but they end up to this: You have given ear to voices other than that of Jesus Christ. While you begged, you looked, and listened Jesus, the most impressive arguments of the skeptics did not leave a mark on you. By contrast, the smallest objections held you, from the moment God had an insignificant place in your life. Peter did not hesitate to walk on water when Jesus called him: he only listened to the words of Jesus: "Come!" But when he hears the sound of the wind, he hesitates to put his foot down and starts sinking.
