We can light the world

 Speaking of the mission of John the Baptist, Jesus said: "John was a flame that burned and illuminated." (John v, 35) So speaking, this is also the mission that we Christians have beem assigned with. Small flame or torch , this is not the important thing, in the place and under the conditions of our life, wchich normally we could not choose, we can still illuminate the world by our faith and make it warm with our charity. The hand of the Lord is with us, and helps us, modestly and faithfully, carry out the everyday task entrusted to us. And this is certainly what will make our life useful and will give it beauty and grandeur.



  Parlant de la missió de Joan Baptista, Jesús va dir: "Joan va ser una flama que crema i que il·lumina."(Jo v,35) Salvant les distàncies, aquesta és també la missió que tenim assignada tots els cristians. Siguem torxa o petita flama, això no és pas l'important, en el lloc i en les condicions de vida que normalment no haurem pogut escollir, podem il·luminar el món per la nostra fe i escalfar-lo per la nostra caritat. La mà del Senyor és amb nosaltres, i ens ajuda a portar a terme modestament i fidelment la tasca quotidiana que ens confia. I serà això amb tota seguretat el que donarà utilitat a la nostra vida, i també bellesa i grandesa.
