The sower

 Jesus is the sower that the Father sent into the world to sow the Gospel. But some of the seed falls into the curious hearts where nothing will be left after the brief contact between the divine message and a heart impervious to religious concerns. Others received the word of God with enthusiasm, but his faith was not rooted and when efforts to lead a Christian life had to be done, their faith is suddenly gone.

There are, however, men of faith who do not hesitate, they have heard the word with a noble and good heart, and give fruit of perseverance. The gospel does not change in one day: the Christian life is a long term work. But only God makes it grow. Let us have the courage to do God's will  every day and we can confidently expect the day of  the harvest.


  Jesús és el sembrador que el Pare va enviar al món a sembrar la seva paraula: l'Evangeli. Però una part de la llavor sembrada cau en cors curiosos on no quedarà res després del brevíssim contacte entre el missatge diví i els seus cors impermeables a les inquietuds religioses. Altres van rebre la paraula de Déu amb entusiasme, però la seva fe no havia arrelat i quan es va tractar d'acomplir els esforços d'una vida cristiana, la seva fe es va apagar bruscament.

Hi ha, però, homes amb fe que no vacil·la, que han escoltat la paraula amb un cor noble i bo, la segueixen i donen fruits de perseverança. L'evangeli no transforma en un sol dia: la vida cristiana és obra de llarga durada. Però només Déu la fa créixer. Tinguem el valor de fer cada dia la seva voluntat i podrem esperar amb confiança el dia de la collita.
