The furrow well marked

 Could a farmer draw a straight groove if he was distracted looking around? Jesus reminded his listeners that just being attentive to the plow until it reaches the end of the field, a farmer can trace the groove as targeted, and then he will have time to turn and contemplate with satisfaction the groove perfectly drawn.

This is the way to behave for all those who want to adjust their lives according to the principles of the Gospel. Once the decision is taken they will have to go ahead  without looking back (...) The discontent that you will sometimes feel while seeing how far you are from the end, is often a sign of progress,  because, from the moment that one has decided to live the Gospel, he has the boost that will keep him improving on and on.


  ¿ Podria sortir bé el solc que llaura el pagès si es distragués mirant a banda i banda?  Jesús els recordava que només estant atent a l'arada fins que arribi a l'extrem del camp, podrà traçar el solc segons l'objectiu fixat, i després tindrà temps per girar-se a contemplar amb satisfacció el solc perfectament traçat.

Així ho ha de fer el qui vulgui ajustar la seva vida d'acord amb els principis de l'Evangeli. Una vegada presa la decisió ha de prosseguir en la seva execució sense mirar enrere(...) El descontent que a vegades experimentareu al comprovar com de lluny esteu del final és , sovint, un indici de progrés, perquè, des del moment en que un s'ha decidit a viure l'Evangeli, ja té l'impuls que el farà superar incessantment.
