Efforts that are not ours

EnglishWho do we owe our good habits? Indeed, not only to our efforts, rather to the atmosphere of the home where we grew up, our family traditions, the advice and examples of our parents, the lessons of a modest teacher, the sermons of an old priest ....  would I venture to boast of the rightness of my consciousness? (...) We are the result of many efforts that are not ours. We, members of the Church, we have been unwittingly molded by whole centuries of Christian life. We are heirs of many people who led holy lives, and we live of their heritage.

¿ Will I boast of the well I do ? St. Paul answers me:

" - What do you have that you have not received ? (1 Cor, IV, 7)

( 1 Cor,IV,7)
