The Sign of the Cross

 The triple Sign of the Cross drawn with the thumb on the forehead, lips,  and chest, has been kept since the days of early Christians as a rule before the reading of the Gospel at Mass. ¿ Does this not symbolize clearly that the teaching of Jesus should enlighten our intellect, inspire our words, and above all,  penetrate and transform our hearts?

 El triple Senyal de la Creu traçat amb el pulgar en el front, els llavis i el pit, s'ha mantingut des de temps dels primers cristians com a norma per abans de la lectura de l'Evangeli en la missa. No veieu aquí un símbol clar que l'ensenyament de Jesús ha d'il·luminar la nostra intel·ligència, inspirar les nostres paraules i sobretot penetrar i transformar els nostres cors?
