The Will of God

Three signals will help us discern the Will of God: First, it will always carry with it a sign of wisdom (...) Secondly, it will require an effort to overcome a difficulty, and finally, it will always be something immediately realizable. What God will want tomorrow, He will let us know tomorrow(...) It is not a spectacular heroism what God asks us. It resides in the continuity of our daily duties, in the smiling charity of all moments. Some people place courage and generosity in doing the opposite of what they would love to. God prefers that we love what we do, that we put our whole heart into the work of the present day.

 Discernirem per tres senyals quina és la voluntat de Déu: En primer lloc, aquesta sempre portarà la marca de la seva saviesa(...) En segon lloc, requerirà de nosaltres un esforç per superar una dificultat. Finalment,  sempre es tractarà de quelcom immediatament realitzable: el que Déu voldrà demà, ens ho farà saber demà(...) L'heroisme que Déu ens demana no té res d'espectacular. Resideix en la continuitat dels nostres deures quotidians, en la somrient caritat de tots els instants. Hi ha qui situa el coratge i la generositat en fer el contrari del que estimen. Déu prefereix que estimem el que hem de fer, que posem tot el nostre cor en el treball del dia present.
