The Church, despite all its miseries

 It is the Church, in the first place, the sacrifice of the mass is offered for; it is on the Church, that God will pour all his benefits; it is through the Church that  each of us will receive the graces we can expect. It is the Church, which, at each Mass, offers the Holy Victim immolated on the Calvary. (...) The Holy Sacrifice is offered by the universal Church, with all its sanctity, and despite all its miseries..

 És per l'Església, en primer lloc, per qui s'ofereix el sacrifici de la missa. És sobre ella que Déu vessarà tots els seus beneficis; és per ella que cadascú de nosaltres en rebrà les gràcies que en pot esperar. És l'Església, la que, en cada missa, ofereix la santa víctima immolada al Calvari. (...) El sant sacrifici és ofert per l'Església universal, amb tota la seva santedat, i malgrat totes les misèries que arrossega.
