 Georges Chevrot is an old friend of Christian spirituality readers, but, in my opinion, it still hasn’t been recognized that we are facing one of the greatest interpreters of the Gospel of all time. Every sentence in every page of over his  20 published books could be part of an anthology of quotations from Christian spirituality.

Here begins a project: to make him known: I have at my disposal all his references. I will gather this information into labels so that it can be used to extract the best doctrine, according to anybody’s needs. (I will publish full citation of the source, so everybody can expand the content for their own sake). His love for the mass was so great that I attach a link that will send you directly to the french original of the letter he writes for his parishioners in his book NOTRE MESSE. Here you will also find the book's epilogue, in which, in a last passionate efford to expand the love and knowledge of the Mass, he masterfully synthesizes, in his unique way, the content of his book. 

Enjoy, then, these samples of his mastery transtated from french into english and Catalan (Language of Catalonia), to which, inexplicably has  never been translated his incomparable guide!

I now want to express my hope that someday Georges Chevrot will climb the altars, which obviously wouldn’t add anything to his merits before God. And while it is true that everything I know about his life is what is said in the only biography written about him, I find it difficult to believe that someone who has been gifted with an eloquence and wisdom as high, and having used  these talents so brilliantly at the service of the Church, was not at the same time, a saint of his time.

  Georges Chevrot és un vell conegut dels lectors  d'espiritualitat  cristiana, tot i que, al meu entendre, encara resta reconèixer-li que estem davant d'un dels més grans intèrprets de l'evangeli de tots els temps. Cada frase, de cada pàgina dels més de 20 llibres que se li han publicat podria formar part d'una antologia de cites d'espiritualitat cristiana. 

Aquí comença un projecte : fer-lo conèixer : tinc a la meva disposició tota la seva bibliografia. Les agruparé en etiquetes per tal que cadascú se'n pugui servir per extreure'n la millor doctrina, segons les seves necessitats. (publicaré la cita completa de la font, perquè pugueu ampliar-ne el contingut, per profit vostre). El seu amor per la missa era tan gran que adjunto un enllaç que us remetrà directament a l'original en francès de la carta de presentació del llibre que escriu pels seus parroquians NOTRE MESSE. Aquí podreu trobar també l'epíleg del llibre,  en el qual, en un darrer esforç apassionat per fer conèixer i estimar la Santa Missa, sintetitza amb mestria, per a mi inigualable, el contingut del seu llibre

Gaudiu, doncs,  d'algunes mostres del seu mestratge en la nostra llengua catalana, a la que incomprensiblement mai han estat traduïdes les seves incomparables instruccions !

Des d'aquí vull expressar el meu desig que algun dia Georges Chevrot pugi als altars, fet que, evidentment, no afegiria res als seus mèrits davant de Déu. I si bé és cert que de la seva vida només en sé el que explica la única biografia que s'ha escrit d'ell, se'm fa difícil pensar que algú que ha estat regalat amb una eloqüència i saviesa tant elevada, i havent fet rendir aquests talents tant brillantment al servei de l'Església, no fos, al mateix temps, un sant de la seva època.
